My Approach to Therapy
With a robust foundation in evidence-based techniques, I specialize in enhancing the mental well-being of teens and adults by leveraging their inherent strengths and developing resources to support their progress. My approach is deeply empathetic and attuned to the unique needs of each client, focusing on increasing self-awareness, improving insight, and refining coping skills. I prioritize creating a secure and inviting space that encourages clients to openly express their thoughts and navigate their mental processes effectively through co-exploration and self-regulation strategies.
Drawing on my background as a Division I student-athlete, I have a keen interest in the mental health challenges faced by athletes at all levels, recognizing the intense pressures they endure in both competitive arenas and daily life. This experience fuels my dedication to reducing mental health stigma, particularly among athletes, emphasizing the importance of mental health care in achieving a balance between the demands of sports and everyday responsibilities. My professional experience also encompasses working with adolescents and adults dealing with high-risk mental health crises and various diagnoses, including ADHD, autism, bipolar disorder, and depression.
I am committed to supporting not just athletes but all individuals in their mental health journey. My work extends to addressing complex issues such as anxiety, trauma, grief, and developmental concerns, providing a positive and supportive environment that fosters personal growth and resilience. Whether working with teens transitioning through critical life stages or adults navigating the pressures of modern life, I aim to empower my clients to achieve a healthier, more balanced life.
