Alison Rainey, MS, LGPC

I am a compassionate therapist dedicated to helping individuals, including children, teens, adults, and couples, navigate life’s challenges and uncover their strengths in a safe, nonjudgmental, and affirming space. My education and training in both mental health and rehabilitation counseling provide me with a dual perspective, allowing me to consider not only which therapeutic approaches may benefit you but also which accommodative tools can support your goals. For example, if you have ADHD and struggle to focus while reading, we might explore practical tools like a text-to-speech reader to enhance your daily life.

Much of my work focuses on individuals dealing with ADHD, anxiety, and the effects of trauma. I use a strengths-based approach, working collaboratively with you to identify your goals and values and

develop a tailored treatment plan that addresses the barriers interfering with your well-being. My approach is flexible and customized to your needs, but I often draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. Together, we will examine how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another and explore ways to enhance your ability to cope with and navigate challenges.

I strive to support you in clarifying what is most important in your life and work with you to align your actions and choices with those values. Along the way, we’ll focus on clearing away the obstacles that separate you from what truly matters. As someone with personal experience navigating anxiety and neurodiversity, I bring both professional expertise and empathy to my work.

In our sessions, my goal is to help you build and strengthen connections—within yourself, with the people in your life, and with the tools and resources that can help you thrive. Whether you are seeking to reduce distress, build resilience, or create more joy and fulfillment, I am here to partner with you every step of the way. Together, we will work toward fostering peace, connection, and meaningful change in your life.
