Berdine Miller, LMSW

I am a licensed therapist in Maryland with over 25 years of experience supporting vulnerable and displaced young adults, children, and families. My career has also included working with Veterans who were dual diagnosed, as well as individuals navigating crisis situations. I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, and dual diagnoses, including the intersection of mental health and substance abuse. I work with clients ranging from age 10 to adulthood, offering a safe and supportive space to explore their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions.

Building trust and rapport is at the core of my practice. I aim to create a consistent and reliable therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences. Together, we assess challenges, prioritize needs, and develop personalized plans to address issues effectively. My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping clients identify negative thought patterns and behaviors, establish coping strategies, and recognize behavior patterns. I guide clients in navigating life’s challenges while enhancing their coping skills and fostering self-awareness, boundaries, and self-care.

I am passionate about empowering my clients to improve their lives, build resilience, and achieve personal growth. Whether addressing issues like ADHD, disruptive behaviors, self-esteem, relationship struggles, or trauma, my goal is to support clients in feeling confident and capable as they work toward meaningful change.
