Pronouns: They/Them

My professional journey has been deeply enriched by diverse experiences that have shaped my approach to therapy. With a background in providing individual and group therapy to children within school settings, I've cultivated a profound understanding of the unique challenges they face and the importance of fostering a supportive environment for growth. Additionally, my work supporting individuals with substance use disorders across various levels of care has instilled in me a commitment to harm reduction and compassionate care. I work with clients navigating varying concerns including anxiety, grief, and substance use. During our initial sessions, we'll explore underlying beliefs and values and work together to develop a personalized plan aimed at meeting your unique goals. Using a person-centered approach, these treatment plans are tailored to your needs, integrating evidence-based therapeutic modalities to foster growth and resilience. Together, we'll work towards tangible benefits such as improved emotional regulation, stronger relationships, and enhanced self-awareness.

Originally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and enriched by skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), my therapeutic style is integrative and holistic. I recognize that each individual’s needs are different, and I intentionally pull from various modalities to best support my clients. First, we’ll look at what you want to get out of therapy to co-create relevant goals. During treatment, I’ll support you in processing your emotions, building coping skills, and discovering your values to live your best life. My goal is to support clients in achieving their aspirations and addressing their needs, ensuring that each person feels validated and empowered to share their experiences. I aim to facilitate self-discovery, enhance coping skills, and establish a safe environment for individuals of all identities, especially LGBTQIA+ individuals. Additionally, I strive to amplify moments of joy, promote self-care, and encourage mindfulness.

At the heart of my therapeutic practice lies a dedication to serving marginalized communities with understanding and empathy. I believe in providing person-centered therapy that honors each individual's identity and lived experiences. Creating a safe and affirming space where clients feel validated and accepted is vital to me. Whether working with children or adults, I prioritize building trust and rapport to facilitate meaningful therapeutic relationships. My passion for supporting marginalized communities and promoting social justice sets me apart as a therapist. I strive to empower clients to embrace their authentic selves and navigate life's challenges with resilience and self-compassion. Through a blend of evidence-based interventions and genuine empathy, I am committed to walking alongside each person on their journey towards healing and self-discovery.
