My Approach to Therapy
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a specialization in a wide range of therapeutic areas including ADHD, adoption issues, anxiety, behavioral challenges, and more, I am deeply committed to supporting children and teens, especially those experiencing crises.
My practice is rooted in trauma-informed care and an understanding of child and adolescent development, enabling me to effectively guide young clients through the complexities of their emotions and experiences. This approach is crucial in helping them navigate school issues, peer relationships, family conflicts, and their own personal challenges related to self-esteem and mental health.
Incorporating Strengths-Based Therapy, I focus on identifying and cultivating each client’s innate resources and qualities, transforming various life stressors into opportunities for resilience building and growth. My therapeutic strategy involves creating personalized treatment plans that employ coping strategies tailored to the unique needs of each child and teen. This not only addresses their immediate concerns but also fosters a sustained, positive outlook towards life’s challenges.
My journey in social work has been driven by a profound desire to help others, inspired by witnessing resilience and triumph in diverse settings—from elderly care to working with children, teens, and treatment foster families. These experiences have enriched my understanding of resilience across life stages, enhancing my ability to support not just adults but also the younger individuals who are navigating their formative years. It is a privilege to guide my clients on their paths to self-discovery and healing, equipping them with the confidence and skills to overcome adversity with strength and grace.
