My Approach to Therapy
With a decade of experience in the mental health field, spanning intensive outpatient settings, cooperative member-led nonprofits, and private practice, I bring a rich background in supporting a diverse range of clients, from young children and families to older adults. My passion lies in empowering individuals to tap into their inner strength and fostering healthy relationships with themselves and others. Whether you're dealing with daily stress, anxiety, or navigating life's transitions, I am committed to providing steadfast support tailored to your unique journey.
Our initial session is designed to create a foundation of trust and understanding, focusing on your experiences and aspirations, and establishing the groundwork for a strong therapeutic alliance. I employ a client-centered, trauma-informed approach, blending techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and modify unhelpful thought patterns, and integrating strategies that align with your lifestyle and personal growth goals. My expertise particularly shines in aiding emerging young adults in their self-discovery and individuals aiming to establish healthy boundaries in various types of relationships.
As we progress, we will explore challenges that have hindered you, and together, we will develop a path forward that feels authentic and achievable. While I advocate for a client-led approach, I am also prepared to gently challenge you beyond your comfort zone when necessary, ensuring that our work together promotes meaningful and lasting growth.
