My Approach to Therapy
As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with 18 years of experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge from diverse settings including outpatient and school-based mental health, inpatient treatment, crisis intervention, and corrections. My career has equipped me with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals from varied backgrounds, enabling me to provide empathetic and effective support. I have worked with adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families, addressing a broad spectrum of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, behavioral disorders, schizophrenia, eating disorders, self-harm, substance abuse, grief, and life transitions.
In our therapy sessions, I create a welcoming and supportive environment, fostering a space where clients can freely share their experiences and emotions. My approach is collaborative and tailored, integrating evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques. Together, we will delve into the root causes of your challenges, build coping strategies, and enhance self-awareness and self-compassion, empowering you to make lasting, positive changes in your life.
I am dedicated to helping you discover and leverage your strengths, facilitating personal growth and resilience. As we journey through the therapeutic process, I am committed to being a supportive guide, helping you navigate the path to a brighter and more fulfilling future.
