My Approach to Therapy

Finding a therapeutic safe space is crucial for addressing and improving mental and emotional health, no matter the nature of your struggles. Whether you're dealing with issues related to gender or sexuality, experiencing trauma, navigating anxiety, coping with grief and loss, or undergoing significant life changes, my practice is committed to helping you enhance your well-being. As a mindfulness-based therapist with a focus on affirmative therapy, I collaborate closely with my clients to tailor therapy sessions that respect individual experiences and backgrounds, aiming to meet both short-term and long-term therapeutic goals.

My professional expertise spans a broad range of areas including anxiety, depression, addiction, LGBTQ+ issues, PTSD, trauma, grief and loss, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I employ a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring a comprehensive and effective treatment plan. As a Grief Counseling Specialist, I adopt a client-centered approach that prioritizes safety and acceptance, offering individual, couple, and family counseling with systemic and family-centered strategies.

In addition to my counseling services, I am a certified telehealth provider, which allows me to offer flexible and accessible support to those who may prefer or require remote sessions. This certification ensures that I can provide continuous, reliable care, adapting to the evolving needs of my clients, wherever they are. My goal is to create a supportive environment that fosters healing, personal growth, and a more fulfilling life.

Fun Facts

  1. I have a dog named Cooper and a cat named Sophie at home. They bring a smile to my face every time I walk in the door!

  2. I love to travel, plan trips, and try new things! Once, I went camel-back riding in the streets of Morocco.

  3. In my free time, I really enjoy catching up on my favorite TV shows, going for a walk with friends, or reading a great book (nothing beats a good contemporary romance or mystery thriller!).
