My Approach to Therapy
Throughout our lives, we face various challenges shaped by our interactions with family, friends, and our environment. These experiences mold our reactions to the world and impact our self-perception, often without our awareness, potentially leading to negative behaviors that hinder our daily functioning and contribute to feelings of existential crisis, aimlessness, and hopelessness. By working together, we can deconstruct these behaviors through a solutions-focused, systems-based approach combined with a trauma-informed, humanistic perspective. This collaborative effort aims to help you rediscover your purpose and evolve into the best version of yourself.
My professional experience encompasses working with clients dealing with terminal illnesses and their families, as well as individuals across various life stages struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, PTSD, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and schizophrenia spectrum disorders. I am committed to creating an honest, understanding, and safe therapeutic space where you can momentarily set aside your mental burdens. Our work will focus on turning down the volume on life's noise to a manageable level by rediscovering and building upon your existing strengths through a solutions-focused, strengths-based approach, incorporating elements from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) tailored to your unique experiences.
My practice primarily serves adults (21+) experiencing moderate symptoms of anxiety, including mild to moderate OCD, mood disorders such as bipolar disorder, personality disorders, perinatal and postnatal mental health challenges, and those with a history of medical trauma. This specialized focus ensures that each client receives care that is not only effective but also deeply empathetic and personalized to their specific mental health needs, fostering a path toward healing and personal growth.
